GroupC Delivery2: El-Kharouf, Wasef

  1. So I'm glad I get to be the first to comment as I am the producer on this piece. I wanted to knock out a few concerns / questions people may have up front.
1: The script has a typo or two but it is locked for shooting which starts Monday.
2: The shot list is hard to read and I apologize for that, Myself, Emilio (DP) and Wasef have worked together multiple times and can decipher each others way of making shot lists. It is made and designed for the production team and not the class, please do not hate us if it does not make sense, it is just for our use to make the set run efficiently.
3: This is an early draft of the call sheet WITHOUT scene numbers because the scenes are pretty much all in the same location, the crew is aware of this and were informed in emails and at the recent production meeting, and updated call sheet will be created and distributed to the crew this weekend.
4: Crew is assembled and locked, the crew list is on the iDisk.
5: Equipment, Food, Location, Production Design Actors, Rehearsals, have all been arranged or been done already with only about a list of 20 items for myself or Wasef to take care of this weekend.
6: The song has been created but still remains fully completed, let me get into detail about that. The song is about 80% done, what I mean by that is that the structure, length, tone, style, specific beats are locked within the song, the 20% that is missing is simply going to be further developed upon during post production so we can time & and tighten to video. This was by order of me, Wasef and myself have done it this way in the past with other films and it has proved a successful and smart method when composing music to go with video. (This is not to say I had any part in development or creation of the song, I did not mean to imply that I do.)

Thank you all for reading my producer note, I now leave you back to your regularly scheduled blog.

  2. I love the Ballet Mecanique Remix. If there's more songs available by the same artist, I'd love to hear them for my own selfish means. By listening to it I can really get a feel for the pacing of the film and am envisioning some really cool light effects for the mural. It's an interesting counterpart to the piano music. Are you going to play the piano song when the robot is dancing on its own?

That's a really good and thorough shotlist. Good luck, I hope your shoot goes well.
